COMMENTS:
After a cold beer at the little roadside shabeen, our cabbie took us to a “gambling den,” literally a shack whose one room was almost entirely taken up by a table around which 6 or 7 players were so intent on whatever Jamaican card game they were playing that it seemed they didn’t even notice our presence. |
